“Whose net are you casting?” (part 2)

“Whose net are you casting?” (part 2)

Yesterday, I challenged us to make a distinction between two types of “spiritual” nets.  There are nets the LORD has designed for us to cast and there are nets the Enemy has designed. Know that as of yesterday – the Enemy’s type net was exposed! Amen…now let’s talk about the nets we should be casting.

The net or nets designed by the Holy Spirit comes especially designed for you – it has your name on it. When cast out, it allows you to capture what need be captured and let flow through what should not be drawn to you…. Amen.

When it’s the Holy Spirit designed net, it has a type of weight attached that allows you to cast far beyond your immediate space – far out to dreams that are to be reached.  But please know that how far you cast is based on your faith. If you only cast out in your immediate area – you will retrieve what you’re used to getting.

Know that the Holy Spirit’s attached weights are heavy enough to go out but not so heavy that you can’t cast it. Therefore, you must cast, you must throw, throw it further then you ever have. Throw with the expectation that it’s gathering will only be for your good and your growth.

But wait…some of us need to do a preliminary casting and that is “all your cares” on HIM. That’s your most important cast – you cannot move forward if you’re weighed down by worry. We say that verse so often but maybe it’s really you’re time – to cast ALL your cares on HIM.

Let’s think of things this way…we are all individually designed “boats” tided to the decks of our purpose with the right nets in hand ready to be cast.  It’s time to release that rope from the deck; trust the Holy Spirit to be the wind in our sails that will direct you to go is HIS direction.

But most importantly, know to load up the “right” nets. HIS nets – aligned with the right weights, know that these nets come with directions on how, when, and where to cast – it’s called the Word of God, along with the true captain of your boat – the Holy Spirit.

It’s time to cast your anointed net designed by our Heavenly Father…

  1. My Lord what a word. I was sitting and making a list of food items and cell phone games that I wanted to give up for lent. And I read your blog on nets and casting of our cares to the Lord. Ive decided to change my list and cast all of my worries that are weighing down, just give those heavy issues up along with the food items and games. Because I was eating the food and playing the games as a distraction not to deal with my burdens.

    1. I appreciate your transparency…I’m glad the blog was able to allow you to re-direct your “net” toss…(smile)
